An ionised knot with a filament extending from it has been found on an [S II] plate of the Carina nebula (NGC 3372), and high and low dispersion spectra of this region are presented. The knot surrounds the early-type star CPD -59°2661 here classified as O9.5 V, and the filament is most probably an ionisation front. The Hα emission line shows a velocity splitting of ≡25 km s-1 over the star. Positive and negative velocity wings to ≡150 km s-1 are found, which are spatially extended on scales up to at least ≡2 pc. These high velocity features are probably related to a stellar wind bubble or bubbles.
