Just prior to the 26th International Cosmic Ray Conference, a 3-day workshop ``Towards a Major Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescope VI'' on GeV-TeV γ-ray astrophysics was held at Snowbird, Utah. This paper summarizes the highlights of this workshop. The future of this new area of astrophysics was the focus. New theories and multiwavelength observations point to GeV-TeV observing strategies. Existing GeV-TeV observatories are being improved and new analysis techniques are being developed. New types of detectors for GeV-TeV γ-rays are being constructed and are reporting first results. And major observatories for the next decade are being planned in various locations on the Earth and in space. .
