Thirty dispersion spectrograms with dispersion of 37 A/mm were used to perform a spectral investigation of RY Per. The spectrum of the star is compound, with spectral line characteristics varying in a complex manner. Hydrogen lines show variation of equivalent widths with revolution period, while helium line profiles vary markedly with phase. Metal emission lines were found in the spectrum as well. Electron pressure was calculated from hydrogen lines and a model for RY Per was constructed from the observational data.
