We have reported the results of the interaction between the geomagnetic field and the development of atmospheric electron cascades as manifested by the distortion of the atmospheric Čerenkov signal. We will summarize these effects and describe our initial attempt to remove this distortion for those cases where the cascade develops perpendicular to a strong (>0.35 G) field and so enhance the hadron rejection procedures of gamma ray telescopes. .
