We present results of the spectrophotometric study of some of the most
metal-deficient blue compact dwarf (BCD) galaxies discovered in the
course of the Hamburg/SAO spectral survey. These findings might have
important implications in the studies of the cosmological problems,
origin of the elements and massive star evolution.
