Since its launch, at the end of 2006, the CoRoT space mission has acquired continuous and high accuracy photometry of hundred thousand stars in several long (150d) and short (30d) runs. Hundreds of new eclipsing binaries have been discovered and photometry of unprecedented accuracy is becoming available. We show a few highlights from the first year of analysis illustrating the opportunities which are now offered to the whole scientific community with the opening of the public archives.
