We have been studying statistics of a dynamical system which models multi-scale magnetic reconnections in the magnetotail from the view point of the self-organized criticality. At every time step a perturbation field is added at a randomly chosen site and current distribution is updated. If the current at a certain site exceeds a threshold,we interpret it as a micro-reconnection and diverge it into adjacent paths. In many cases, the system settles after one reconnection, ut in some cases, the reconnection continues to occur(like an avalanche). We discuss universality of percolation statistics of states, and also effects of background D.C.current,which supports anti-parallel magnetic field across the neutral sheet. An anisotropy is naturally introduced into the system due to the background current. We study statistics of the magnetic islands(size distribution, aspect ratio)and relate the results to large scale reconnection in the magnetotail.
