The present use of a projective transformation to investigate the stability of a special relativistic, nondissipative swirling flow subjected to adiabatic infinitesimal disturbances yields a generalized 'Richardson criterion;' this can be characterized as a generalization of the Lalas (1975) results to a relativistic regime. The pertinent relativistic fluid flows occur in such astronomical objects as galactic jets. The method developed is potent in examinations of such stability-affecting factors as wave overreflection.
