Cyclotron humps have been detected in the spectrum of the 19th mag AM Her system IE1048.5 + 5241 at certain phases. Two methods of determining the magnetic field were used; these, with information from the spectral slope, both yield a magnetic field strength of 47 MG. The temperature in the emitting region is less well determined but is likely to be higher than 10 keV.
