2124 Heliopause And Solar Wind Termination

Scientific paper

The global structure of the heliosphere under the interaction between the solar wind plasma and the local interstellar medium is studied by MHD computer simulation. In this simulation the dynamical processes around the magnetic neutral sheet in the interplanetary space and in the inner heliosheath along the ecliptic plane are studied carefully. As a result, a V-shaped gutter on the nose-cone surface of the heliopause caused by MHD processes is found in this simulation. The V-shaped gutter is also found on the termination shock surface, and both gutters are found to almost touch each other on the ecliptic. By using this model a theoretical analysis for dynamic spectra of the outer heliospheric radio emissions is also discussed.
