An UV spectrometer on STRATCOM 8 measured the UV scattered light in the 2000 A to 3000 A range. These data were obtained at a variety of viewing angles. In addition data in 3000 A to 4000 A range were obtained using four photometers with filters approximately 300 A wide. This instrument was downward viewing in order to obtain information on the variability of the albedo in this wavelength range. Another four channel instrument, looking upward, was designed to measure ozone overburden.
