Evolutionary tracks are calculated and plotted for dense star clusters of various types, corresponding to globular clusters, active galactic nuclei, nuclear regions of elliptical galaxies, and quasars. Evaporation of stars from a cluster and head-on collisions between stars are taken into account. The evolution of the clusters is described qualitatively and traced to the point where relativistic collapse or cluster breakup occurs. Effects of binary formation in clusters with a small number of members are briefly examined, along with effects of black-hole formation due to accretion.
