Preliminary results are reported for a search for H2 absorption lines in the spectra of two quasars, 4C 25.05 and OQ 172, which exhibit a large number of absorption lines. It is shown that several absorption lines in the spectra of both quasars may be identifiable with redshifted VUV lines of the Lyman and Werner series of H2. Rough estimates of the relative intensities of the H2 and H I lines indicate that the amount of hydrogen in molecular form is comparable to the amount in atomic form and might even be greater.
