An observational method involving an image-tube spectrograph and a 1.02-m telescope provided detailed spectral data between 4500 and 6700 A for stars having violet magnitudes as faint as 15. The relative intensity curves of several low-luminosity stars were investigated through use of the technique, which provides a resolution of 25 A. The observations confirmed that Barnard's Star possesses the magnesium and sodium absorption features previously ascribed to it. In addition, a study of the common proper-motion pair G107-69/70 indicated that the G107-70 spectrum lacks an M-dwarf component and that the G107-69 star is a subdwarf analogous to Barnard's Star.
