It is noted that the majority of galaxies in the Zwicky catalog occur in clusters. Furthermore, it has been observed that for redshifts there exist velocities in which for a given region of the sky no galaxies can be found. It is thus suggested that visible matter in the universe is found in large asymmetric groups, or superclusters, with empty space in between. This model has been confirmed by data obtained from the Hercules region.
