A large number of negatives obtained during Dushanbe meteor patrol observations were analyzed for the presence of optical flashes from gamma-ray burst sources. No flashes brighter than 6-8 m within the duration range from 1 sec to 20 min were found. An upper limit of 0.0008/h sr was derived for such events with a 90-percent confidence level.
