The masses of Cp stars with strong magnetic fields tend to exceed 2 solar masses. An analysis of the early stages of stellar evolution indicates that efficient convection is absent in the envelopes of stars with masses above 2 solar masses. Therefore, only these stars of the main sequence can conserve a strong relict magnetic field. To conserve the strong magnetic field, intense sources of ionization (SN or OB stars) must be present in the vicinity.
