Radio and X-ray pulsars are reviewed. Topics include characteristics of pulse sequences, the distribution of pulsars in the galaxy, the origin of pulsars, and the structure of neutron stars. The Crab and Vela pulsars, which provide pulses at wavelengths other than radio wavelengths, are considered. Characteristics of X-ray pulsars are described with attention to the evolution of a close binary system responsible for X-ray pulsar formation.
