Element abundances of Nova Scuti 1975 are examined by emission line spectra. It is noted that the Balmer decrement does not agree with predictions of case B recombination, and that the amount of interstellar extinction is not especially large. Elements for which abundance is recorded include O I, II, III; N I, II, III; H, and He I, and II. Alpha and beta hydrogen as well as He I are optically thick.
