Microwave observations of the peculiar IR source CRL 437 are reported and discussed in terms of a dynamic model; in particular, the effects of cloud rotation on spectral-line profiles are considered. The source displays strong (20 K) well-resolved spherically distributed CO emission. The CO spectra exhibit unusual symmetries which are attributed to differential rotation within the cloud. The line shapes are asymmetric and undergo a shape mirror reversal about an axis projected onto the cloud. The high-quality spectra leave little doubt about the reality of this symmetry reversal. The line shapes and mirror-symmetry reversal are simulated by a model which includes rotational and radial mass motions as well as an excitation-temperature gradient. The rotational motions introduce a centripetal barrier where infalling material may pile up and condense. The model parameters imply that this occurs within 30 arcsec of the cloud center. The IR cluster is within this boundary, which suggests that it may have formed from material streaming in along the rotation axis.
