We describe an infrared photometer used to study statistical properties of sky noise at the focus of a telescope. It consists of a beam splitting system which gives two channels of simultaneous observations. We determine their correlation as a function of separation in the focal plane. We search for possible spatial filtering by varying the size of the cold image of the pupil, using an internal mechanism of a liquid helium dewar. We present the method of our observations and give specific values of characteristic parameters.
