A strongly variable object exhibiting unusual spectral properties is very blue (U-B = -0.9 to -1.0; B-V = 0.1 + or - 0.2)and remarkably constant during variations in the V magnitude from 14 to 17. Spectra obtained at ESO Chile on April 25, 1974 and on April 12, 1975 show broad absorption lines of He I. These lines are very much weaker or entirely absent on spectra obtained on April 24, 1974 and on April 11, 1975. No emission lines and no hydrogen absorption lines were found in these spectra. Comparisons are made with other types of hydrogen-deficient stars like MV Sgr and DB white dwarfs. The nature of the object still remains uncertain.
