Dark Matter, Origin And Formation Of The Universe

Scientific paper

We study the formation of primordial star-forming clouds in a ΛCDM universe using large N-body/SPH simulations. The simulations include non-equilibrium 9 species (e-, H, H+, He, He+, He++, H2, H2+, H-) chemistry and hydrogen molecular cooling. We determine that the critical halo mass to form primordial star-forming clouds is 5 × 105h-1Msolar, with a weak dependence on redshift in a range z > 16.
