The paper describes the features characterizing the measurement of electric-field fluctuations in the cosmic plasma by the double-Langmuir-probe method. The error components of the measurements are analyzed, and recommendations are given on error minimization. A formula is derived which makes it possible to determine requirements on the measuring instrumentation and to estimate the expected measurement error.
