The discovery of extended emission line gas around the two Seyfert 2 galaxies, IRAS 1105-1131 and 1E 1530-085, is reported. Long slit spectroscopy of these objects is presented together with observations of other extended envelopes surrounding AGN of different activity levels. Most of the studied objects present either a strong blue asymmetry, with profiles requiring at least one main component and one or two smaller blueshifted components, or two clearly separated velocity components, observed on a significant part of the spatially resolved nebulosity.
