We continue the study of the stability of a collision front between two identical winds in a double star system in the limit of isothermal flows, with Mach number M = ∞, by investigating the behaviour of the azimuthal modes. We thus extend a previous work that dealt with the cylindrically symmetrical case. In contrast to the behaviour of the radial and tangential modes, the azimuthal modes are stable against small wavelength perturbations.
