High-resolution one-dimensional images of IRc2 in the Kleinmann-Low nebula in Orion have been obtained at 4.64 microns. The source is clearly resolved, has a diameter of 1.4 arcsec, and shows a substructure. Its luminosity is estimated to be (8, +5, -3) x 10 to the 4th solar luminosities. This confirms the role of IRc2 as the primary source in the KL nebula. The central core of 1.4 arcsec is complex, showing a double-peak structure and a plateau consistent with the infrared emission of the inner edge of a 'doughnut' making an angle of 54 deg with respect to the line of sight and surrounded by a halo of optically thin material.
