I presume that I am here for comic relief. I am not going to talk about either unification or supergravity. Instead, I am going to discuss two ideas related to the flavor question. The first, TECHNIGIM, is the result of a collaboration which developed over large spatial and temporal distances with S. Dimopoulos and S Raby. The second, on the degeneracy of all fermions, is an idea of mine which I am presently working out with two students, Aneesh Manohar and Ann Nelson.
