Observations of H I synthesis in the nearly face-on Sc II-III spiral galaxy NGC 1058 are reported, as part of a general study of nearly face-on spiral galaxies. It is found that: (1) H I is much more extended than the known optical extent, and shows distinct spiral structure which correlated with faint outer optical emission found in deep photographs; (2) the velocity field rotates circularly in a plane at inclination of 6 to 10 deg in the inner parts and smoothly changes its orientation to exactly face-on at the edge of the observed H I radial extent; (3) the velocity dispersion is about 7 to 8 km/s at all radii, and this finding is consistent with H I velocity dispersion in other galaxies. The observed thickness of the hydrogen layer in NGC 1051 is also used to predict the percentage of the mass of NGC 891 that resides in the disk, and it is estimated to be between 20 and 35 percent.
