The GEMS (Galaxy Evolution from Morphology and SEDs) project combines high precision photometric redshifts and SEDs (from COMBO-17) with ACS imaging for 10,000 galaxies from 0.1 < z < 1.2. I will present early science results from GEMS on the size distribution of galactic disks, the correlation between morphology and SED type, the fraction of disks and bulges, the stellar mass distribution, and the merger and interaction rate as a function of redshift. I will also discuss the comparison of these results with detailed semi-analytic models of galaxy formation.
