After FUSE reaction wheels failure in December 2001, a call was issued for observatory programs consisting of high declination targets to make mission scheduling more efficient and flexible. We have submitted such a program, called Z903 by the FUSE project, consisting of a sample of hot DA white dwarfs mainly drawn from the McCook and Sion catalog, for which the atmospheric parameters are known, and which are sufficiently bright in the far-UV to produce usable spectra with an exposure time of about 10 ksec. We will present an early account of this survey of white dwarfs and summarize the identification of the photospheric metal lines present in the spectra along with a preliminary abundance analysis. Financial support to U.S. participants has been provided by NASA contract NAS5-32985. J.D also acknowledges support from NASA grant NAG5-11844.
