We present timing and spectral analyses of the newly discovered X-ray
transient XTE J0421+560, which has been identified as the X-ray
counterpart of the symbiotic star CI Camelopardalis. Our observations
extend from very near the peak of the April 1998 outburst through its ~
week-long decay.
