The structure and evolution of the universe is intimately tied to the quantity and nature of the mysterious dark matter. As revealed initially by Zwicky over 60 years ago, the character of galaxy clusters provides a means to extract useful information on the total, clustered mass density. This talk will review the current status of constraints on the amount and nature of dark matter arising from statistical properties of the observed cluster population. Data from X-ray satellite missions play a crucial role in these constraints, and gas dynamic simulations of cluster formation provide calibration of important systematic biases. A largely consistent picture is emerging, but data from future SEU missions are needed to address remaining uncertainties in this endeavor.
