The transient black hole binary GX 339-4 is currently in outburst, and slowly rising in both soft and hard X-rays. On Jan 23, 2007 (MJD 54123), the RXTE/ASM recorded a flux of 12.1 cts/sec, which corresponds to 166 mCrab (2-12 keV). On Jan 21, 2007 (MJD 54121) the source flux was 0.096 cts/sec in the Swift/BAT 15-50 keV band, or 417 mCrab (Swift/BAT transient monitor results provided by the Swift/BAT team; see Krimm et al.
