With its sub-arcsec resolution and spectral capabilities Chandra is an
ideal telescope to give us a clear view of the complex X-ray emission of
galaxies. This talk will show some of the early Chandra results and
discuss their impact for our knowledge of the X-ray properties of
galaxies.
