We present the statistical results on the VLBI cores from VLBI large samples at different observing frequencies. The medians of the apparent angular size of the VLBI cores are inversely proportional to the VLBI observing frequency and the median of the spectral index of the cores is about 0.1 (sν ∝ ν-α). The distributions of the magnetic field and particle density in the frame of the inhomogeneous jet model were estimated. The ratios of the angular sizes of the compact jet (Gurvits et al. 1999) to the VLBI core are consistent with the inhomogeneous jet model. We found also that the flux density and the luminosity of the core at 5 GHz are correlated with the optical ones in the rest-frame, which suggested that the optical continuum emissions from the radio loud QSOs are related to the most compact structure and are boosted by relativistic beam, but there is no such correlation for the radio galaxies.
