We have good evidence that the mass distribution is close to homogeneous on the scale of the Hubble length, and pretty good evidence for close to uniform distributions of astronomical objects on this scale. Homogeneity implies a correlation between the history of our local sample of the universe and the the sources of the radiation backgrounds at Hubble distances. We know the correlation is subtle --- the star formation history of our galaxy is not the same as the global history back to z~ 1 --- and the elements of the correlation numerous --- we have to consider the history of the universe. Elements include inflation, or whatever set the initial conditions for the Friedmann-Lemaître cosmological model, and left possible remnants such as scalar and tensor spacetime curvature and maybe dark mass; the decoupling from radiation drag that allowed formation of the first nonrelativistic baryonic objects leading up to galaxies; the generations of the stars and their production of starlight, winds, explosions, and the chemical elements; the manifestations of active galactic nuclei that are thought to be at sites of relativistic collapse; the history of the diffuse baryonic components between the stars and galaxies; magnetic fields in and out of galaxies; observational properties of the enigmatic dark mass components, clustered and near homogeneous; and all the present-day remnants attendant thereto. I look forward to hearing about the advances in such ideas and in the observational constraints that are teaching us how it all fits together and likely will continue to surprise us.
