Preliminary results of a new model for the formation of Saturn's family
of mid-sized icy moons, namely Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea and
Iapetus, are reported. Predictions are made for the bulk chemical
composition and mean uncompressed density of each satellite.
