The visual variations in brightness of R CrA, S CrA, T CrA, and R Mon, all classified as T Tau-like irregular variable stars, have been investigated. Long-period variations with time scales of approximately 1000-1500 days and 8000-10,000 days were found in these stars. These long-period variations are unlikely to be due to pulsations of the stars themselves. There is some evidence that changes in circumstellar shells are responsible for the observed variations in these stars and in the variable reflection nebulae which are associated with R CrA and R Mon.
