Detailed UBV surface photometry within a 40 x 36-arcsec area centered on the nucleus of N4314 is presented. Average and detailed characteristics are derived from these arrays, including luminosity and color profiles. The detailed luminosity and color maps provide new information on the distribution of dust, young stars, and H II regions. Most notably, new star formation is confined to a ring approximately 5 arcsec in radius centered on the nucleus, and the nuclear spiral structure evident on blue light photographs is shown to be due to a spiral dust pattern.
