The paper discusses the mapping of the hydrogen radio recombination line from the arc-like Galactic center source using a 100-m telescope at 5 GHz. Contour maps of integrated line intensity show that the dominant emission occurs around V(LSR) of approximately -40 km/s, although there is some emission at positive velocities which extends beyond l equals 0.02 deg. No emission was detected from He(+) at the position of the strongest H(+) line, implying that y(+) equals forbidden He(+)/forbidden H(+) is lower than 0.03.
