The binary star AN and is of interest because it is a member of one of the few known eclipsing systems possessing metallic line features. Differential photoelectric photometry in the standard UBV system was conducted during 15 nights in 1979, 1980 and 1981, using HD 219989 as the comparison star. The primary extinction coefficients were determined from investigations of the density changes of the comparison star during the observation nights. The general features of the light variations seen appear to be represented by symmetric light curves due to eclipses with considerable ellipticity effect. It is noted that the present light curves do not show any significant dips.
