Convection, Stars: Interiors
Scientific paper
Several authors have indicated that convective overshooting is very small for stars in the mass range of approximately 1.1-1.6M_solar, although these authors insist that larger overshooting occurs in more massive stars. In this paper, it is indicated that this small extent of convective core overshooting can be accounted for by using the non-local mixing length theory in conjunction with the turbulent viscous dissipation.
