A method to reveal rapidly the periodicity on measure of the civil calendars' dates is given. A calendar date is separated into year, month and day figures, by which some characteristic numbers are to be checked out from a fore-compiled table. A simple calculation upon the numbers will determine the position of the date in a certain cycle on measure of dates. The cyclic number (GAN-ZHI) in Chinese traditional 60 day cycle, week number or Julian date can be easily and rapidly extracted out by this method.
