Mars, Atmosphere, 1992/93

Scientific paper

The 1992/93 apparition of Mars was studied by two members of the NMO (Nordic Mars Observers) using the colour filter technique to distinguish between atmospheric phenomena such as frosts, hazes, fogs and clouds at differing altitudes. Trends in the varying amount of hazes and clouds were noted which were in accordance with an increasing water vapour content in the atmosphere resulting from the sublimation of ices from the North Polar Cap.
