The importance of Magellan observing peculiar stellar objects, young contracting stars or far-evolved objects is discussed. Magellan could observe the EUV spectrum of white dwarfs, chromospheres and coronae of red dwarfs and especially flare stars, chromospheres and coronae of about 20 main sequence stars in the spectral range AO/K5, and could detect neutron stars and measure their continuous spectrum. In the spectral range from 913 to 1500A, it could provide data on nebular variables, flare stars, cataclysmic variables, hot subdwarfs and white dwarfs, interacting binaries, and late giants and supergiants.
