Results of IUE investigations of: chromospheres, coronas and winds of
cool stars; hot stars and supernovae; binaries and novae; mass loss and
the late evolution of single massive stars, are summarized. Stars in the
pre-main sequence phase; interstellar matter; and the galactic halo,
were also studied.
