A VLBI image of the core of the `arch-type' powerful radio galaxy showing the core-jet. The jet collimates on scales less than 2 pc and remains collimated and directed out to scales greater than 20 kpc! The jet powers the giant double lobes of this powerful radio galaxy. VLBI imaging allows us to study this jet on scales comparable to the broad line region of quasars. For more information on this study, please see the following reference: Carilli, C. L., Bartel, N., & Linfield, R. P. 1991, AJ, 102, 1691. The image and related TeX file come from the NRAO CDROM "Images From the Radio Universe" (c. 1992 National Radio Astronomy Observatory, used with permission).
