The results of a study of nearly diurnal latitude variations directly in the high-frequency part of the spectrum are presented. Periodograms of nearly diurnal variations were constructed by using a 10-year interval of round-the-clock observations of two bright zenith stars and four bright Talcott pairs of stars. The analytical smoothing used to decrease the contribution of the random error to the observational results is described and its effect on the high-frequency part of the oscillation spectrum is discussed. Estimates of the main parameters of 18 harmonics of the spectrum of latitude variations are presented, the amplitudes of which are 0.01 arcsec or more. The relevance of the results for the diurnal solar term, nutation terms, and free nearly diurnal nutation are discussed.
