We present high-dynamic range observations of the radio lobes of Virgo A (M87, 3C274) at 10.55GHz using the Effelsberg 100-m telescope, including linear polarization. All maps have been subject to a newly developed CLEAN procedure, allowing an increase of dynamic range to ~41dB. The radio lobes have been mapped for the first time at such a high frequency with high precision, and the associated magnetic field is reliably traced. High degrees of linear polarisation are found at the outer edges of the lobes (>=70%) indicating very well ordered magnetic fields. A preliminary analysis of the spectral index distribution yields a very steep synchrotron spectrum, but not as steep as claimed previously. This, along with the observed asymmetries in the degrees of linear polarisation observed in the two radio lobes, can be attributed to the relatively dense intracluster medium surrounding Vir A.
